A few days back, I was made aware of an ongoing discussion about Palestine at a website called ‘Foreign Policy Journal’. That was the first time that I ever heard of that website and the first and only time that I ever participated in the comments section. Today, I was made aware that all my comments had been removed – and which also would mean that I would not have been able to comment again had I tried. I went back into my Disqus ID and retrieved all those comments from that day and I have assembled them below. One has to wonder what reason was there for website owner to exercise censorship ? I do realize that the side-by-side pictures are very unnerving for lots of folks simply due to the fact that a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. You see, European Jews claim to originate from Palestine. But the people of the region resemble other peoples of the region and the European Jews stick out just like the British did stick out when they colonized Kenya. But no one will take offense if one says that the British are Europeans and the Kenyans are Africans, hence two different peoples. And no one would take offense if one were to display a side-by-side comparison images of the British vs. the Kenyans. But when it comes to European Jews vs the Arabs, then it becomes a very sticky situation due to the absurd claim by European Jews that they originate from Palestine. Now back to the censorship issue: Can anyone find anything posted below that could be perceived as racist or offensive? I have gone down the comments and there is none. If anyone does find anything objectionable, please do holler back.
A few hours after posting this link I went back to the website where my comments were deleted and read the comments by the site owner Jeremy Hammond. I was very pleasantly surprised that his comments are very compelling, very knowledgeable and very brave. I salute him. Please follow his comments
